KingsWay School —

Dear Parents and Caregivers,

One of the attributes that I love about Middle School students is their enthusiasm to get involved and have fun. We work hard to ensure that there are a variety of opportunities for our young people to participate in and gain a sense of community, belonging and enjoyment. One such example is the fun soccer competition that is being run by our Middle School Sports Council. These highlights help students have a sense of pride about their school and also create a sense that being in a Christian school is fun.

Recent highlight moments include the International Festival, our student-led Whanau assemblies and our Mathex/Biblex evening last night. This night was well attended by parents and siblings which really added to the sense of excitement and competition. It is wonderful to provide an opportunity for mathematical problem solving and Bible knowledge to be valued. Thank you to our parent body for being so supportive and thank you to our prefects who came and modeled genuine servant leadership for our Middle School students.

Please note that next week Friday 4 June is a Teacher Only Day. This focus is Kahui Ako which means our community of learning gather for professional development. Our Kahui Ako is Westminster School, Jireh and KingsWay School. This valuable professional development translates into practice for our students. We are blessed that our school has staff continuously being professionally developed to ensure we are always improving the learning and wellbeing of our students. It is important that we model that staff are lifelong learners too.

Kind Blessings
