The Primary and Middle School’s annual Cross Country run will take place on Tuesday 29th June at Shakespear Reserve. Alongside this event, the PTA will be running a fundraiser. Please read further about these details:

Kingsway School are raising funds for additional playground equipment at the Junior Campus and for enhancements of outdoor spaces for the Middle School students.

Enhancing our outdoor environments will provide our students with emotional, social, and physical benefits. Increased self-esteem, improved collaboration skills, enhanced critical thinking ability, and a strengthened immune system are just some of the high-level benefits children gain by being able to play outdoors. Improvement of our outdoor environment will benefit all current and future Kingsway students.

How will this fundraiser work?

This year we have partnered with New Zealand based, online fundraising company, Raise It. Raise It specialise in working with New Zealand schools to maximise their fundraising efforts. Collecting sponsorship online makes it super easy for everyone - no more door knocking, your child can collect more donations from further afield (friends and family living overseas, work colleagues etc) and no need to worry about handling all that cash and bringing it into school! Raise It’s customised online fundraising hub is user friendly and shows the total amount donated to the school in real time!

How do I sign my child up to fundraise online?

Each child can sign up for their very own web page to send out to collect online sponsorship (please note you will need a separate email address for each child you sign up). Just go to our School Fundraising Hub page at:https://kingsway.raiseit.co.nz/hub

• You will find the REGISTER link to set up their account on this page
• You will need to choose your child’s classroom as their fundraising team
• If you need any help email help@raiseit.co.nz for direct assistance
• All student totals update in realtime and your donors can leave you messages of encouragement

What do we do with cash donations?

If you do not wish to create an online fundraising page for your child, please see the FAQ page for information on cash donation forms (you can find a link to the FAQ on the fundraising hub). We can collect offline donations and they can be included in class totals and individual leader boards where applicable.

Prizes

Head to our Fundraising Prize page on the hub for information on the great prizes your child can be into win for just signing up! We have some awesome prize draws coming up, so we encourage all students to get signed up and start sharing their fundraising page to be in the draw. Prizes include digital camera, activity tracker watch, scooters and many more great spot prizes!

What happens on Event Day?

On event day our Year 0-3 students will participate in a Fun Run and our Year 4-9 students will take part in our Cross Country. We will provide more information about the format closer to the date.
