Week 3, Term 4

Dear Parents, Caregivers and Whānau,

During Social Studies the Year 8 classes competed against each other in the Clash of the Kingdoms.  A massive congratulations to 8KTA who won with an impressive total of 63 points. The class's camaraderie and their competitiveness fared them well! 8MST came in 2nd place (52 points) and 8JCH was in 3rd place (37 points).

A few reminders:

- Parent Meeting on Tuesday evening. This will be an informative session about Year 9 - all parents are encouraged to attend.  

- Students are expected to wear a KingsWay hat for outdoor activities (PE, Sport and during Lunch times).  

- Year 8 students will be heading to Red Beach to engage in the Water Wise programme, please see the details below (and complete the Parent Permission form due on Monday, 7 November).

Year 8 Water Wise: Red Beach

  • Tuesday, 22 November: 8JCH, 8MST, 8MVR

Students travel by bus to the venue, leaving school at 9:00am and returning to school by 3:00pm.

Wear: PE gear, sports shoes and socks.
Bring: Students and parent helpers bring own lunch, drink as well as their swimming gear (wet suit is advisable if the weather is cold) and a towel.
Parent Helpers: We require five/six parent helpers per class, please indicate on the permission form if you are able to assist.
