1st XI Girls Football Success

The Kingsway X1 girls football team played off for 3rd and 4th against Albany Senior this week. It was a really tough game, but everyone in the team played amazing. The passing was really good, and everybody gave it their all. We ended up winning the game 2-0 which meant we finished 3rd place in A2 grade.

Year 7 & 8 Rugby Challenge

KingsWay vs Northcross

On Thursday, our Year 7/8 rugby team played Northcross Intermediary School in a very wet and muddy rugby battle. It was a well contested game from both sides, but the Kingsway boys stuck to their game plan and displayed resilience right till the end, winning the game 30-15.

Thanks to the parents who came to support the team as the opposing team was well supported by their peers on their home grounds. Also thank you to the coaches who trained the boys this season and Theo for stepping up as referee today.

This week: WHAT ARE WE TEACHING OUR CHILDREN?

Bad Behavior by our Spectators

Recently, there have been some incidents involving spectator abuse, match official abuse, and abuse of students playing. I am sure we will all agree that this is unacceptable.
As a School, our Principal and Sports Dept is responsible for
ensuring our supporters and school representatives behave in a respectful manner before, during and after any fixtures and events. The last thing we want to do is to ask parents not to attend games however it is getting to a point where the sporting organisations are asking us to look into this.

 • Please remember when you are standing on the side of the sporting field you are not only representing your child, your family, OUR school but also God. Remember this is school sport, not a National game. Please watch the video below. It refers to the rugby pitch but we can relate it to any sport KWS play.
