Middle School

KingsWay School —

Dear Parents and Caregivers,

As a staff we will be reflecting as always on the term. We reflect on the student learning, quality teaching, the culture of the Middle School and specific goals we are focussed on. I am sure that the top of our list of identified achievements this term will be the unity of the staff, working with parents to ensure that our young people are well supported both onsite and offsite. Middle School has had approximately 190 of our students learning from home at some point this term. I would like to thank our staff for all the hard work they have put into this, which is in addition to the onsite learning. This shows our love and commitment to the students. Thank you for working with us on this as parents.

Planning is already underway for Term 2 as we make the most of every opportunity to provide the best opportunities we can. Keep your eye out for the Term 2 Middle School Newsletter at the start of the new term to see the learning and trips that will be taking place.

Please note that:

  • Students need to arrive in their day uniform with PE uniform packed from Term 2. No one can arrive in PE gear. They will go home in PE gear if they had a PE or Sport lesson after lunch. This is because we will resume using our changing sheds.
  • Tuesday 12 April is a 2 pm finish for Parent-Teacher Conferences. Those who take buses will be supervised in the library and then taken to the bus bay at 3:15 pm.
  • Thursday 14 April is a 2 pm finish due to Easter Weekend and the end of Term 1.
  • Term 2 commences on Monday 2 May.

We look forward to seeing you at the Parent-Teacher Conferences next Tuesday.

Ngā mihi

Lisa Lambert
