Junior Campus Carpark

Top Carpark area:

Mornings: Parents are only to use this carpark in the mornings for dropping children off. Parents, please drive very slowing in the top carpark (5km), drive to the end of the drop off zone (don’t stop halfway if the drop off lane is clear), children are to remain seated in your vehicle with seat belts fastened until the car is stationery. Please do not allow children to take their seatbelts off before you have stopped at the drop off zone and are ready for them to exit the car. There are no pickups after school from the Top Carpark due to School Buses needing access. This is a safety issue so all parents must use the back carpark unless they are a disability cardholder.

Junior Campus – Back Carpark area:

It is essential parents drive slowly (5km) in the Carparking area. Parents are to park their vehicle (reverse into carpark space, where possible). Children are to use the pedestrian crossing. Parents are to assist their children in walking to the footpath to ensure their safety. When picking your child up at the end of the day, please wait for your child on the footpath and not in your car.

Grandparents' Morning - 26 February — Image by: KingsWay School

All Grandparents of Primary students are invited to our Grandparents' Morning at the Junior Campus on Wednesday, 26 February from 9.15am - 12pm at the Junior Campus.

To bless our lovely grandparents next Wednesday at the Grandparents Morning, the PTA is asking each family to send along to school one baked item on a disposable plate.

Top studio – Kauri, please send along savoury items e.g sushi, sausage rolls, fruit, cheese and crackers etc.

Bottom studio – Totora, please send sweet items e.g biscuits, cakes, slice, muffins etc.

One item only is needed per family, if you have a child in both studios, you decide which item you wish to send along. If you are gluten-free, please send along a gluten-free item clearly labelled. We are also looking for parents to help in the morning from 9am in the Junior Campus Staffroom to help cut and plate food, refill jugs, get rid of rubbish etc. If you can help please email michelle.pearce@kingsway.school.nz. Thank you from the PTA.

Scholastic Book Fair

The Scholastic Book Fair will be running at the Junior Campus from Monday 24 – Friday 28 February. Your child will probably bring home a wish list of books they would like – please do not feel obliged to buy all or any of the books on their list, but please also be aware that the school library directly benefits from book sales. There will also be an opportunity for families to buy a book to donate to the school library – keep an eye out for the librarian’s wish list at the book fair.

If you’re available to help run the book fair for an hour or more sometime during the week we would LOVE to hear from you! Please contact Jo Pelan at mjpelan@hotmail.com or 021-703-637 with the time(s) you’re available and we’ll slot you into the roster.

School Lunches

School lunches can now be ordered online and will be delivered to the Junior Campus each day before lunchtime.

When ordering food online for your child from the tuckshop, please ensure you put your child’s teacher’s year level and teacher code eg: 3DVA.
