Year 8 Newsletter
Week 9, Term 2
Dear Parents, Caregivers and Whānau,
Some of the Year 8 classes had students from Year 10 share presentations they prepared in their Future Focus class. The presentations focused on complex issues happening around the world and what could be done to improve outcomes. One of these related to poverty and access to clean water. Students got to experience what it felt like to carry a load of water on their heads. Although it was a fun, it helped them to gain more insight into why we have been raising money for World Vision during Term 2. If we can make clean water more accessible can transform so many lives. We are also teaching students that we are part of Gods bigger story happening in the world.
