Middle School - A note from Lisa Lambert

KingsWay School —

Dear Parents and Caregivers,

It has been great to see so many students returning from various excursions and hearing them talk about what a great day that had. Another highlight I am sure is that of the leadership training days that various student leaders have attended this week. It was a pleasure to see so many students and their parents and grandparents come along to the Science and Technology Evening last night as well.

It is always interesting to have conversations with students when I am in classes and asking their opinion on various things. Something that I have noticed is the number of students who verbalise that they don’t go to church but go to youth group activities instead. Youth groups are so important for social connection and to reinforce Christian growth as a reinforcement to being part of a church regularly as a family but I would venture to say, they are not a replacement. As busy as life can be, the importance of being connected into an alive church as a family, that supports a real and vibrant relationship with God is supernaturally powerful. Some would describe this as a ‘stake in the ground’ or a ‘non-negotiable’.

Thank you for your support with World Vision and with the PTA fundraiser with our upcoming Cross Country. We will aim to avoid these two events coinciding next year.
