Dear Parents and Caregivers,

Firstly I extend a warm welcome to our new families to our Middle School at KingsWay School.

It is always lovely to see the students who we have interviewed onsite and settling in with others. It is a time of significant transition for all of our Year 7 students and they are doing well as we support them in learning the Middle School ropes. It is wonderful to have four teachers join the Year 8 team who have been on our staff in various ways previously. A warm welcome to Hannah White, Jayne Charles, Stephanie Pollock and Sacha Donovan who have joined the Year 8 team. We are thankful for God’s provision of staff. We look forward to formally welcoming our new people at the Mihi Whakatau assembly on Monday.

Today you will be emailed our Term 1 Middle School Newsletter which is packed full of information about our learning. This is also viewable on our school website. Please complete the permission slips tomorrow so that we can organise any trips coming up shortly.

Thank you for your efforts in ensuring students have full correct uniform. Students may not arrive in PE uniform but are allowed to leave at the end of the day in PE Uniform if they have a subject that requires it after lunch and they have their shoes on. Uniform is a way of showing respect and taking pride in their presentation in different contexts.

Below are some photographs taken at the Year 7 On Purpose Day and Year 9/13 On Purpose Day. Both of these events were enjoyed by all the children involved. Thank you to the parent helpers who attended the Year 7 and 8 On Purpose Days.
