North Harbour Volunteer of the Month Award.

KingsWay School —

Congratulations to Harrison Clark for being awarded North Harbour Volunteer of the Month.

Harrison is cricket mad and passionate about giving back to his community. He decided to give back to the sport and started umpiring so that the coaches and parents could concentrate on helping the students learn the game of cricket.

This year Harrison's love of umpiring has seen him liaise with Doug Cowie, a former NZ International Cricket Umpire, to learn about becoming a qualified umpire. Harrison has since put himself through two written modules and has now formally completed 'The Laws of Cricket' course – Basic level and Intermediate Level exams. At the moment Harry umpires for KingsWay School but watch out Black Caps, Harry is heading your way!

Criteria of the North Harbour Volunteer of the Month Award were read out at the Senior Assembly prior to Harry receiving his award. Have a look at the video below.
