Year 9 Newsletter
Week 8, Term 1
Dear Parents, Caregivers and Whānau,
We're thankful for the great trips this week to Ōrewa Beach for the PE Studies students, a great day out at Ninja World, Matakana for the Year 9 cohort and a day out kayaking for the Outdoor Pursuits students. Thank you to the teachers and the parent helpers who make these trips possible.
The Year 9 students are hosting Market Day on Monday, 27 March. This has been a great opportunity for students to work collaboratively and to exercise their entrepreneurial skills. The profits from Market Day will be used to assist the Tonga Christian Radio to complete their building project and build a new antenna mast so they can broadcast the Gospel to more places in Tonga. A reminder for your child to bring cash so that he/she can enjoy some of the yummy food and delicious drinks on offer!
A reminder about the PTA fundraiser drive. It has been so encouraging to hear how various students have been supporting this! We encourage all families to support this great initiative.
We look forward to being able to chat to you about your child at the Parent Teacher conferences on Thursday evening.
