Madison Cornwall —

Week 6, Term 1

Dear Parents, Caregivers and Whānau,

Dress ups, colour, games, dance parties, worship and water! What a fun day we had on Wednesday. I have to admit, this was the best Top House day yet! There was full student participation from our Year 7's and so much team spirit. I was just blown away with how mature and responsible your children were whilst also having a blast. If that was a glimpse into how they start off their whānau days in Middle School, I can't wait to see how they finish up.

Year 7 is well underway in our Mathematics program now. We have a strong focus on basic facts, paired with measurement this term. The students each have a personalised mathematics program that they manage themselves and are called upon for workshops and other various activities. It teaches great self management and encourages the development of intrinsic motivation.
