Junior Campus Notices - Week 2, Term 2
Please read the following parent notices for the Junior Campus.
Note from Mrs De Gibson
It is wonderful to start a new term doing what we, as teachers are passionate about, equipping children spiritually, emotionally, academically and socially for all of life.
Year 5 Optional Bring Your Own Device
This term see’s ‘Optional Bring Your Own Device’ rollout for the Year 5’s. Students have been working on ‘Digital Citizenship’ programmes in preparation for the arrival of devices. Students have been looking at practical ways to ‘guard their hearts’ and use biblical principles to guide their use of digital technologies. Parents are participating in parent education evenings as part of the rollout, to ensure a common understanding between school and home.

The Perceptual Motor Programme (PMP)
The Perceptual Motor Programme (PMP) is a course KingsWay has successfully run at the Junior Campus. Recent study has highlighted the many significant benefits children experience in their learning, as a result of being part of a PMP Programme.
PMP is a holistic, sequential programme, specifically designed in this way to ensure children are given the maximum time to prepare for learning so they can cope easily in the classroom situation. The programme also gives our teachers the opportunity to observe and gain valuable insights about each child and their individual stage of development.
We need your help please:
We require the help and support of SIX adults during our Equipment sessions, which take place directly after lunch on MONDAYS and TUESDAYS for the remainder of Term 2. You do not have to have a child in the programme in order to assist us.
Please email Mrs Coetzee at monica.coetzee@kingsway.school.nz if you are available to help.
God's Closet
God's Closet offers a ‘free of charge’ kid's clothing and shoe service for Christian families who are financially struggling.
