KingsWay School — Sep 7, 2021

A Note from Graeme Budler, Executive Principal

Dear KingsWay Community,

Today is KingsWay’s Foundation Day which, unfortunately, Covid disrupted our celebrations. This morning I shared a devotion with staff related to God’s faithfulness to KingsWay over 35 years. We were blessed to have Graham Braddock attend. The KingsWay community is blessed to have a founder who continues to live and breathe the mission statement.

Would you please take four minutes to watch this clip produced by two of Graham’s grandchildren? It provides a timely reminder of the original vision KingsWay and serves as a challenge for us today.

The management is working on preparing procedures for a return at Alert Level 3. This preparation is tricky as we do not know when to return, albeit we do not expect many students to return under Alert Level 3. We aim to continue uninterrupted home learning during this level until we receive permission to move to Alert Level 2. Moreover, we continue to work on putting in place additional support for our students doing NCEA.

I want to thank staff and parents for their understanding during this time. Rest assured that we love your children and are doing everything possible to support them better. Just a reminder that we have the second in our series of question and answer wellbeing seminars on Thursday.

God bless,

Graeme Budler
Executive Principal

Student Wellbeing Webinar | Thursday 9 September at 1pm

When speaking to teachers, it has become evident that some students are really struggling with either motivation or emotional well-being. With this in mind, a reminder that we are hosting a Wellbeing Webinar specifically aimed for students tomorrow. Students can access this through the link HERE.

We also encourage you to continue to have regular ‘check-in’ conversations with students around how they are going, both emotionally or academically and to contact the Form Class teacher in the first instance if there are any concerns.
