ESOL Teacher-aide

KingsWay School is seeking people who are passionate about helping both domestic and international students with language acquisition. The successful candidate will join our skilled and enthusiastic ESOL team who has a heart for assisting our language learners. This ESOL position is 16.5 hours (3 days per week) for 40 weeks of the year. A qualification in teaching ESOL is an advantage as is being willing and able to support the special character of the school.

Previous experience in a similar role would be an advantage as you will be required to:

• Communicate effectively with a wide range of learners demonstrating varied levels of language ability
• Demonstrate skills and knowledge in the language acquisition process to help students progress through the English Language Learning Progressions
• Demonstrate skills and knowledge of school curriculum and assessment requirements
• Function independently and in a team to achieve student growth targets
• Conduct assessments of student progress and complete associated administrative tasks.

This role commences March 6, 2023 (or earlier by negotiation).
