Wellbeing

In case you missed the ‘Navigating the Digital Spaces of Gen Z’ broadcast you can access it HERE. Sam Burrows and Dr. Stephen Garner from Laidlaw College talked us through the characteristics of Generation Z and how we can work with this generation to live well in a contested digital space.

With the holidays now upon be encouraged to hold onto JOY. Positive emotions make us more resilient and choosing JOY no matter what is happening around you fortifies you in the face of adversity. Protect it by intentionally looking for the good things in each day and guard against common joy busters ie. Tiredness, stress, worries, loneliness. Consider how you can build your joy fortress today.

Primary School Notices

Thank you for partnering with us throughout this term and for participating in the PTCs yesterday.

Enjoy the next two weeks of holiday. We look forward to seeing you all face to face on the Junior Campus in the very near future.

Year 6 Camp

A decision will be made on the status of Year 6 Camp following the Government announcements in the holiday, and we will communicate this on Friday 15 October 2021.

Middle School Notices

We are pleased to announce that Mrs Leaumoana will be taking up a Deaning role while Mrs Stacey is on maternity leave. Mrs Leaumoana sets high expectations for students and has a pastoral heart that seeks the best wellbeing outcomes for young people.

We pray for relaxed and refreshing times as families over the holiday season even amongst the challenges. What peace we have as God’s people that He is with us and that in all things God works for the good of those who love Him.

Notices:

  • Students have been reminded that it is summer uniform for Term 4.
  • If your child borrowed a school owned device for lockdown, please ensure that they bring them in to school when we return so that we can reconfigure for onsite use.
  • In order to accommodate Senior School Derived Exams, we have an adjusted timetable from Friday 22 October until Tuesday 2 November. On Friday 22 October we have a 2pm finish for Labour Weekend. All other school days in this date range will have a 3pm finish. Students will leave school at 3pm and those travelling by bus will wait at the bus stops. All details will be unpacked in our weekly parent emails from Homeroom teachers on our return to onsite learning.

We look forward to seeing the campus full of your children reconnecting with one another.

Senior School Notices

Thank you for your support this term and we wish you all a relaxing and enjoyable holiday. We hope seniors can switch off for some of the time and enjoy a break but also balance preparations for the examinations to come next term. Senior school teachers are really looking forward to seeing their students back on site next term.

Student Leadership 2022

Congratulations to the student leaders for next year that were announced today (see here). There was a high caliber of applicants and it was an honour for the staff involved in the selection process to hear the hearts of the students and their aspirations for leadership. While students may not all be in the leadership role they had wanted the most, we do encourage students to prayerfully consider how they can best contribute in the role they have been placed in.
