IMPORTANT - Practising our Lockdown Procedures

KingsWay School —

Please note that KingsWay School will be conducting a lockdown exercise on Tuesday, 10 November.

The lockdown exercise that will take place next week on Tuesday 10 November will be as real-life as possible. This will mean that parents/families will receive notification by way of the KingsWay School app. The information passed will emphasize that this is an exercise/practice and will explain how all updated information will be communicated.

Prior to this occurring, can we please remind all parents and caregivers to ensure your contact details (mobile phone numbers and email addresses) are current should this information be needed in the event of an emergency occurring at the school.

Communication Used In Emergencies

Our main method of communication in the event of an actual emergency will be the KingsWay School app. We encourage all parents and caregivers to download this. To download the app for free on iPhone or Android search SchoolAppsNZ in the App store. After downloading, open the SchoolAppsNZ icon on your phone and search for KingsWay School. Once KingsWay School has been selected, your app will automatically open to the KingsWay School platform from now on.

In a genuine incident, should you hear of a lockdown or evacuation at the school, can we please ask that you do not attend the school or phone, as we will not be in a position to respond. In this situation, it is imperative that there be no commenting on our social media channels as this may prevent correct and important information being relayed. Your presence at, or contact with the school may make it more difficult for us to manage the situation and could potentially place your children and in fact yourselves at risk.

We thank you for your support.
