KingsWay School —

Congratulations to our winning KingsWay students who will be heading to Vex EDR High School Robotics World Championships in the USA!

A number of KingsWay students and alumni recently competed in the Vex EDR High School National Robotics Championships held in Auckland on 23 & 24 February.

Congratulations to KingsWay alumni students Josiah Bull and William A’Court, as well as current student Sarah Thompson (Year 13), who were all part of the 240P team that won the Robot Design and overall National Champion’s Tournament awards, receiving $5000.

Congratulations to Joseph Greening, Year 9 Middle School student, who was part of the winning 2921R team taking out the Amaze and the Robots Skill Challenge awards at the National competition, receiving $5000.

Both teams qualified for the World Championships and the students will now represent NZ at the VEX World Championship in Kentucky USA in the April school holidays.

Shaun Cole-Baker, Year 10, also competed with his team reaching the quarter-final of the National tournament competition.

Special thanks to Mr Steve Epsom for his support at the event.
