MetService is warning that another significant weather event will hit Auckland in the next few days, with forecasts of 300mm of rain and 150km/h winds. The Mayor has extended the State of Emergency for Auckland. Please keep an eye on the news on the status of road closures. It is imperative to check whether KingsWay is open for instruction in the morning on our website before travelling to school. I also request that you subscribe to the KingsWay App if you have not done so already. We have postponed Monday’s Year 7 and 8 On Purpose Day until further notice.

I have asked the teachers to ensure that students take all their gear home if the disruption is longer than expected and we need to work from home for a time.

For next week I will break from our usual once-a-week communication on a Friday and send an update before 6 pm daily until the storm passes to keep the community informed. Please check the website for this update.

I am sorry for the potential disruption in the learning process again. I know this event is tough on some in our community who have just recovered from the recent storm. My thoughts and prayers are with everyone during this time.

Accounts Department Notice

Please note, due to the start of year being a busy period, there are delays in payments being transferred to student accounts.

For current students: if your account is not showing any Special Character Donations payments made in 2023 yet, please do not worry, there is no need to email us. We will aim to apply the payments by the end of this month.

OR

For new students: if your Term in Advance Special Character Donation and Development Donation payments made during 2022 are yet to show, please do not worry, there is no need to email us. We will aim to apply the payments by the end of this month.

If your child has left KingsWay School, please remember to cancel your Automatic Payment. If you forgot to cancel it, please email accounts@kingsway.school.nz with your bank account details so we can refund the over payment.
