Year 8 Newsletter
Week 6, Term 1
Dear Parents, Caregivers and Whānau,
All the students and teachers had such a fun time at Top House on Wednesday. It is this type of event that students remember long after they leave school and that builds community spirit. A huge thank you to Steph Pollock for organising the day.
Due to the planned teacher strike action on Thursday, 16 March, we have postponed the scheduled trip for 8AHU and 8SSL to visit Tiritiri Matangi. Information on a new date for this trip will follow soon.
Our focus this term in Mathematics is on Geometry and continuing to build our number knowledge. We will be investigation 3D shapes and their properties and learning about angles. We do this through working in groups with the teacher and using specific online programmes and follow up activities in our Mathematics books.
