Tonga Mission Trip
It is very exciting to have our first overseas mission trip, since Covid-19, to Tonga during the school holiday! The team are excited about the prospect of being in Tonga after all their preparations. They have done two boot camps and have met regularly to plan this trip. They are looking forward to seeing Willy Florian, the Tonga Christian Radio station manager again and meeting his staff. The students will be doing radio broadcasting and various activities in churches, schools, and other locations. Thanks to Andrew Marriott, Melanie van Rooyen, Wayne Strydom and Yolind Strydom for leading this team.
Please pray for this Mission team as they embark on their mission trip these school holidays.
Cambodia Mission Trip
At the end of the year, there is a mission trip to Cambodia. This team has been meeting regularly and has completed their first boot camp. The final boot camp is in Term 3.
“The Cambodia boot camp was a great experience that brought us closer as a team. It was a little taster of what it would be like living, eating, and sleeping together outside of school. I was thrilled that we had the opportunity to pray for each other over our trip. The boot camp has made me look forward to the Cambodia mission trip even more now – why can’t December come sooner?” Noah Raikes – Year 12
World Vision
The focus for our Mission Councils in Term 2 was the World Vision and the 40hr Famine. Thank you to our Primary, Middle Years and Senior School councils, who promoted and ran community events to raise substantial money. Our mission councils are doing an excellent job, and a big thanks go to the teachers in charge – James Forrest, Angela Hunt, Elizabeth Raikes and Jemma Dinnen.
