Angela Hunt —

Week 5, Term 1

Dear Parents, Caregivers and Whānau,

We were so blessed with the weather during our On Purpose Day to Pt Erin Pools. It was such an enjoyable day and a neat time to make connections. A huge thank you to Mahaylia Stevenson who organised the day and to all the parent helpers who came along, we couldn't do trips without you.

Our learning focus in English this term is on reading and writing information reports. We have been identifying the features of explanation and information reports. Students are working on locating, checking and summarising key facts to inform writing pieces and on using;

  • precise and topic specific language to convey meaning
  • correct structures, order and accurate content.
