Madison Cornwall —

Week 1, Term 2

Dear Parents, Caregivers and Whānau,

It was wonderful to have our lovely Year 7's back after their long holiday! We are right back into some good learning and our students are thriving. I am amazed at their desire to learn, despite the hurdles they are having to jump at such a young age. It is so important to celebrate the small wins everyday and this is something I am trying to incorporate into my classroom and would be awesome to see in all areas of our children's lives. And on celebrating wins, here is the poem that won from our Easter competition last term! Beautifully written, Natalia.

The Hope Of Easter

By Natalia Lynne, 7DSC

When Jesus hung up on that cross, we felt quite lost.
As his blood spilled out we cried out.
Jesus was in the grave and we felt as if we could never be saved.
But 3 days later it all got better.
And Jesus gave us hope when he said "Nope" to the doom that had us consumed.
For Jesus is now risen and we are out of prison.
Jesus Christ is the redemption you see for he saved me.
But don't forget about you he saved you too.
