A Note from Graeme Budler, Executive Principal

Dear KingsWay Community,

Sadly, we have had to cancel this year’s production of Aladdin completely. Covid restrictions have made the decision more clear-cut, despite the best efforts of everyone to postpone and rearrange venues. We will send patrons the details on refunds shortly.

On a personal note, I want to reiterate how disappointed I am on the one hand, but amazingly proud of what the cast and crew achieved on the other. None of the gains from this experience is lost or wasted.

I also want to thank the parents, staff and particularly Claire Trebilco, Cherie Perrow, Jo Clayton, Sam Hagen and Sean Cleary for the work and effort given to this production. You are definitely second milers.

I am proud of you and thank you for your service to the community and for using your talents to bless others. If we ever get to have a prize-giving, we hope to showcase some of your abilities on the night.

I wish you all a relaxing weekend free from distance learning.

Short Term Contract

Thank you for the overwhelming response of offers to supervise our Senior School exams. Applications are closed. The applicants will be contacted soon.

Summer Sport

We are taking non-payment registrations for all summer sports. Once registered, players will be entered into teams and registered with the clubs to be able to start as soon as we are safely able to do so.

Please go to the school website, click on your chosen sport page then look for the fees and registration tab. There you will find a link to register, without payment via a Microsoft form. Once we are able to start playing, you will be sent an email requesting payment.

• Cricket – Year 9 & 10. Played on Saturday afternoon. Registrations close 29th September. Register HERE.
• Summer Football - Year 1 to Year 12. Played on Mondays. Registrations close TODAY 24th September. Register HERE by filling in the form.
  
• Summer Hockey - Year 1 to Year 6. Played on Tuesday at Millwater turf. Registrations close 4th October. Register HERE.
• Touch Rugby – Year 1 to Year 9. Played on Wednesdays. Registrations close Friday 15th October. Register HERE.
• Volleyball – Year 9 & Year 10. Played on Wednesdays (Boys) and Thursdays (Girls) at North Harbour. Registrations close 27th September. Register HERE.

Primary School Notices

Primary PTC’s

Please note that the PTO site will be closed for maintenance on Monday afternoon, 27th Sept. Bookings for PTCs can be made all this weekend and from Tuesday onwards again.

Middle School Notices

Thank you for the positive feedback on the Middle School Distance Learning programme. Some minor suggestions have been taken on board and this is helpful. Teachers report that students are punctual, respectful and diligent in their habits. If your child is not attending or not participating in online work over a period of time, the Homeroom teacher will touch base with you to gain a fuller understanding and make a plan so as to finish the term well.
