Term 1 Highlights - Senior School Top Whanau

   Top House  by KingsWay School

In Week 6 of Term 1, the Senior School again hosted its much-loved and well-attended “Top Town / Top Whanau” event for points, prizes, unending prestige and glory! Twenty groups of students, with five from each house, competed against each other over 10 Stations over the better part of the day. Items included Swiss Ball Soccer, Music “What’s that Song” Trivia, Life-sized Hungry Hippos, Giant Marble Runs, Memory Puzzle Relays, and more!

We finished the day with a thundering chant off and spot prizes recognising Most Valuable Players and Best Dressed. Student voice from the day acknowledged love of interclass competition, sportsmanship-themed rivalry, and a tangible sense of ‘whanaungatanga’ (community connection and kinship) being built over the day.

We honour and thank our Lord for giving us such a meaningful day together and acknowledge the mammoth effort Mr Thomson and Mr Harris put in to making the day a success. We also warmly credit the Senior School Whanau student leaders who led encouragingly, efficiently and charismatically. God bless them as we seek to build on this momentum.
