Middle School - 25 March 2022

Dear Parents and Caregivers,

It is so good that the teaching and learning within Middle School has continued over this changeable season. As a school we determine to love, educate and disciple our students. We understand that for some, their term so far has been interrupted and difficult. Our teachers continue to support students where they are at. It is always good to see the variety of quality learning experiences our students have across their week.

There are always so many different things happening in Middle School. It was wonderful to see the Year 8 students enjoy a sunny day trip to Tiritiri Matangi. I would like to thank the parents who gave their time to enable this trip to happen. Due to weather issues, the Year 9 PE Studies and Outdoor Pursuits trips were postponed. Today we have turned out attention outwards and have been focussing on supporting Tonga with our Mufti Day fundraiser today.

Upcoming:

  • Staff Only Day - Monday 28 March. May the students enjoy the extra non-school day
  • TOP HOUSE - Thursday 31 March – a day of fun Whanau competition outside.
Students arrive dressed in their Whanau colours and suitable clothing for being active. We have spoken to the students about not wearing make-up and wearing modest clothing, for example no crop tops. Look out on the school social media platforms for photos of a day that promises to be a highlight!

We look forward to meeting you online at the Parent Teacher Conferences in Week 11 of Term 1. You will receive an email with all the information you need next week.

Have a wonderful weekend.

Ngā mihi
