Visit this articleOn Friday, 14 December all of KingsWay School (including Primary) finishes at 12 noon. If your child is taking a Bayes bus, they will catch an early bus just after 12 noon and arrive home earlier than normal. If your child is taking a Ritchies bus, you will need to make arrangements to collect your child at 12 noon or book them into the sKids after school programme. Skids will be providing after school care from 12-3 pm for a cost of $15. Bookings for this programme will be available from the 1st December on the sKids website: www.skids.co.nz (click on parent login) or for more information email kingsway@skids.co.nz.
Children who catch the Ritchies bus are in the sKids programme will leave on a Ritchies bus at the usual time after 3.15 pm.
Please note: NO staff supervision is available after 12 noon. If your child has not been collected at 12 noon and is waiting on Campus, they will be placed into the sKids programme at the parents’ expense.

Visit this articleOn Monday, 26 November I had the delight of taking two of our Maori students, Emily Shaw and Scott Robertson to the ‘University of Auckland BEAMS’ programme. This is a Year 10 programme with a Maori and Pacific focus. The day promoted programmes in the University where Maori and Pacific students are under-represented. BEAMS is the acronym for: Business, Engineering, Architecture, Medicine and Science. Emily and Scott explored these different programmes through interactive and engaging activities.
Visit this articleThis High Tea was planned, prepared and served by Year 10 Food Technology students, accumulating as one of their food assessments for the year. Students also had the opportunity to invite another student or family member to enjoy the high tea. An outstanding effort was made by all the teams involved.

Alannah has been profiled on the AUT website for her outstanding work helping underprivileged girls in Nepal.
