Jonathan is an enthusiastic violinist and teacher who enjoys all styles of music. He has a Master’s degree from Switzerland and Bachelor of Music from Wellington. He works in many of New Zealand’s professional orchestras including the Christchurch Symphony and the New Zealand Symphony Orchestra. He plays a wide variety of musical styles including Classical, Irish, Bluegrass and Country, and enjoy improvisation. He is just as comfortable playing in an orchestra as he is in a rock or folk band and will give anything a go – from Mendelssohn to Michael Jackson! His teaching approach includes a strong focus on good technique as well as creating a fun and motivating learning environment.
