My Little Garden in Raupō

Elshke Pietzner —

Over the last couple of weeks the tamariki in Raupō have embarked a new journey as they became members of the Little Garden League club.

All of them had to complete secret tasks during our station time and prove to the teachers that they are patient, that they are good at noticing things and that they are caring and courageous.

Following this, the students got approved into the club and this is where the tamariki had to sign a pledge and received badges. The pledge they signed reads: I promise to do everything in my power to teach others to grow, protect and taste vegetables. We believe that the tamariki in Raupō will do a great job at this :)

Once this was completed the tamariki received their own seed to look after and help it to grow. All the students planted their own seeds in little plant pots which will be left at school where they can be cared for daily.

They have all done a great job starting this journey! We will keep you up to date with any developments :)
