Dear parents and caregivers,

We welcome Nathan Chilton and his whānau to our school teaching team. Nathan will be joining Mataī in Term 3, teaching the Year 7 & 8 children.

Kia ora koutou,

I am delighted to be joining Knights Stream School. I have been teaching for just over eight years in Kaiapoi, Beijing, and most recently, Lusaka, Zambia. My wife, Bridget, and 7-month-old son, Casey, and I are excited to be moving back to NZ after four and a half years away. 

My favourite subject to teach is maths and I love seeing students exploring with and creatively using numbers. In my spare time, I enjoy experimenting with photography, reading, playing sports, and spending time with our two dogs. I have loved making the most of our time travelling and exploring the African bush. The photo is from one of my favourite places in the world, Lower Zambezi National Park. 

I'm excited to be teaching Year 7/8 again and getting to know the whole KSS whānau starting in Term 3.
