Christchurch Adventure Park school holiday programme
Book kids on a one-day mountain bike activity programme that will develop their skills and confidence on a mountain bike, teach them the mechanics of bikes, and take part in fun activities around the park!
Catering for beginners through to experienced riders, the school holiday programme focuses on fun with a sense of adventure in a supportive environment.
Please note: all riders must be comfortable riding a bike to at least a beginner level. This includes being able to balance standing up on pedals.

Exciting Opportunity for Aspiring Junior Chefs!
Introducing the Junior Chef Course, designed to unleash your child’s culinary potential!
Duration: 5 days
Date: 3 – 7 July 2023
Time: 9am – 12pm (8 – 12 year old),1pm - 5pm (13 - 17 year old)
Location: International Culinary Studio Training Kitchen, 1/57 Warrington St, Christchurch.
Give your child the gift of being self-sufficient in the kitchen! They’ll learn essential culinary skills, techniques, and gain hands-on experience under the guidance of experienced chefs.
Bring your own electronic device, such as a laptop or tablet, to fully engage with digital resources and take our learning to the next level.
Total Cost: $300 per student
Lecturers: Cheryl and Chef Andy will be teaching the kids a great set of skills. Below are some details of what they will be teaching the kids during the 5 day programme.
Day 1: Create the Perfect Pizza with Toppings and learn different Icing Techniques for Icing a Cupcake.
Day 2: Learn to make Shaped Bread Rolls and make a Country Vegetable Soup.
Day 3: Learn to make Fresh Pasta and a Tasty Beef Sauce.
Day 4: Stuff, Roll, Crumb and Roast a Chicken Thigh and serve with a Vegetable Skewer.
Day 5: Create Home-made Cookie Dough to make five different flavoured Cookies and learn to make a range of Handcrafted Filled and Shaped Chocolates.
Empower your child with culinary expertise that will last a lifetime. Whether they aspire to be the next MasterChef or simply want to enhance their cooking skills, this course is a stepping stone to their culinary dreams. This course will also help them with their mathematics, reading and social skills.

CSO - Matariki Around The World performance
Please find attached a flyer for the CSO's upcoming concert Matariki around the World, a beautiful musical journey exploring the Matariki star cluster around the globe, based on the book written by Professor Rangi Matamua and Miriama Kamo, illustrated by Isobel Joy Te Aho-White, and published by Scholastic New Zealand.
There will be two performances at the James Hay Theatre in the Town Hall on Wednesday 5 July - 10.00am and 11.30am.
This will be a very special performance featuring the talents of many of Ōtautahi's finest creators and musicians, and a great way to entertain the kids during the holidays!

Expressions Dance Company
Expressions Dance Company is proud to present 12 Dancing Princesses!
Join us for a classical ballet experience retelling of the story of 12 Princesses who love to dance. The Princesses are all beautiful individuals whose Father brings in the Duchess to educate them in the finer details of life as a Princess. The Duchess has other plans however and is so mean to the Princesses that they run away. Following the secret riddle that their late mother left them, the Princesses find themselves in a Secret Garden where they are free to be themselves with the swans, peacocks and statues. They discover the Duchess's secret and bring peace back to their castle.
Danced by the Company kids, this ballet is sure to entertain all ages and is a wonderful way to introduce ballet to young budding dancers. A meet and greet will be held after every show.

Elements School Holiday Programme
Elements nature based play programmes are proud to announce our schedule in the July holidays. Fields, trees, and creeks - children exploring, playing and learning while being active and imaginative in nature is what Elements is about.
Our environments are fantastic for both the physical and cognitive development of children and our services may also help parents who are struggling to find quality programmes for their children while they are needing to be at work over school holiday periods. Our senior team members are teachers on their own 'holiday'! Elements programmes are for children aged 5-13yrs or 'stay n play' sessions for 2-7yrs. Although you may consider the location too far from your school zone, we find families are happy to travel for their children to attend our quality programmes.

The Christchurch Brick Show is the largest LEGO show in New Zealand, and is run by LUG4/2 Inc, a Charitable Trust which also runs the Imagination Station at Tūranga . This year we have over 250 LEGO enthusiasts showcasing their incredible talents.
