WE NEED YOU!

Garden to Table is an initiative that teaches students to grow, harvest, prepare, and share food and we need more volunteers to help support the children in their learning.

We need 2 hours of your time on a Monday afternoon from 1:00 to 3:00pm. This could be a one-off, or maybe two, or even become a regular session…

Or maybe you know someone that could help us, a grandparent or neighbour that could give us a few hours.

All we need is a few extra hands each week to support 4-5 children in a small group with some gardening and cooking. No experience is required, just someone willing to turn up and get stuck in with the kids, helping out with the gardening or cooking, you choose!

In the garden we need adults to help support the students with weeding, harvesting and planting.

In the kitchen we need adults to help support the students with cooking, washing up, and cutting vegetables.

If you think you could give one afternoon this term or even a few, please email Matua John john.preston@knightsstream.school.nz with the Monday date that you can come in and he will organise the rest.
