From the Tumuaki's Table - Term 4, Week 2

Mike Molloy —

The end of the year is fast approaching and planning for 2021 is well underway!

There are many images that reflect how challenging 2020 has been for all of us. The good news is that 2021 is coming fast and we are planning to make it a great year! If anything this year has taught us how to use our value of Courage. The ability to carry on and make the best of the situation is something we need in life regardless of COVID-19!

The board have taken all of the positive and constructive feedback from the term 3 survey and are adding this into the 3-year strategic plan. We hope to share this with you very soon.

The children literally ran in the gate this term with big smiles stretched across their faces. This tells us that the children love to come to school to connect with their friends and teachers. They enjoy the amazing learning opportunities that the teachers plan for them. The Kaimahi (staff) also enjoy being back in front of the tamariki delivering purposeful programmes to meet the needs of all learners.

There is a lot happening this term so please take the time to add all of the school events to your diary. Make sure you come along and enjoy these moments with us. Children love when parents and whānau make an effort to join in. Perhaps you might be great with the 'egg and spoon' or 'sack race'!

The hats are back in regulated fashion and sunscreen is the look for summer. We are a SunSmart school and do require all children to take care when outside in the harsh conditions. Please make sure your child/ren are all set to be safe from the sun.
