Coronavirus Update

Mike Molloy —

COVID-19 (novel coronavirus) is now confirmed in New Zealand, but Ministry of Health advise the chance of a widespread outbreak is low. The school is following the advice and guidance from the Ministry of Education.

The current advice is to continue as normal. We are reinforcing the need to wash hands regularly, use hand sanitiser and to sneeze into a tissue or elbow. I have asked the cleaners to be more vigilant too.

If your child is unwell or you notice flu-like symptoms please keep them home. Here are some simple graphics on how to best avoid it, this might be of use at home. When tamariki know what to do, this can help take some of the worry away.

We have updated our Pandemic Plan and are capable of supporting learning from home if this became necessary.

We will keep you updated if the situation changes in the near future.
