The KSS Planting Day was a huge success!

Mike Molloy —

All the conditions were right for the planting day at Knights Stream School on Friday the 17th May.

Community support was strong with a volunteer army of over 50 adults made up of school parents and other whānau, council, community board and Residents Association members and a team from Spark. Mark from Allwood Trees provided his expertise for placing and planting the plants which numbered in the thousands. Some trees and plants had been purchased by the school and other specimen trees donated by Allwood trees, Charmayne Forster, Stephen Clarke and  Lesley Barlow.

Tamariki from all classes were involved in the project too, an experience that will prove to be a tangible link to their role in establishing this school for their lifetime.

Thanks to those that were able to help out and make the day so memorable.
