There has been plenty of sporting events happening to finish the term with students competing in the Lincoln Zones Basketball, Canterbury Zones cross country and Pioneer Basketball. Read more for further details.

Congratulations to our Year 5-6 and Year 7-8 basketball teams that competed in the Lincoln Zones Basketball tournament on Monday. There was plenty of courage shown on court as both teams competed hard. The year 7-8’s never gave up as they came up against plenty of tough opposition. The year 5-6’s showed plenty of skill and some great teamwork to finish 3rd. Thank you to the parents who supported our teams courtside and those who provided transport and helped with scoring.

Congratulations to Greta Hurford who competed at the Canterbury Zones Cross Country competition last week. Greta showed plenty of courage and determination to finish 8th in the Year 7 competition. Great work Greta!

Our Year 5-6 basketball teams have been lucky enough to participate in coaching sessions run by players from the Canterbury Rams. The students have loved the sessions held in the Wharehui on Tuesday afternoons throughout this term and have learned a lot. A big thank you to all the players involved and to the Canterbury Rams organisation. These skills have been put into action during the Pioneer Basketball competition with three Knights Stream teams competing on Wednesday and Thursday afternoons this term. The season continues in Term 3.
