Not one, not two, not three, but four new babies will be extending the KSS Kaimahi team this year!

Just last week the Totara (Y5-8) children and their parents found out about Whaea Catherine's exciting news - her new baby is due on the 16 November!

This now means Whaea Catherine joins the team of Whaea Delaram (due 31 August), Whaea Jessie (due 1 September) and Whaea Tracy (due 2 September). Yes, that is three babies due in three days. It almost sounds like one of the commercials... but wait there's more!

All three full-time staff are taking 12 months maternity leave. We are in the final process of employing two to three new teachers to join the team to cover the full-time Whānau classes over their maternity leave. Planning is underway to ensure a smooth transition is organised so that the learning programmes are effectively maintained until the end of the 2020 school year.
