This week in Hawai we conducted a science experiment using Coke and Mentos. The tamariki then retold their experience. This is a piece written by Aanya Dass.

First, Whaea Beth took off the Coke lid. Next Whaea Beth opened the Mentos and put it into the Coke bottle. Then Whaea Beth put the Mentos in the bottle and it exploded! It was bubbling. I heard it sizzling and fizzling. I thought it could have gone high into the clouds or even into space!
