I am pleased to welcome two new staff to the Resource Centre at van Asch.

eLearning Designer and Developer - Brian Hainsworth

Brian started with us on the 8th of October, he comes to us with experience at Canterbury University developing online content and eLearning, and also as a Yoobee trainer and coordinator. Brian will be based in the Resource Centre.

Hello my name is Brian, I am the new e-Learning Designer / Developer. In this role I will be making a bunch of online learning resources starting with some work with the Outreach team.

I have a background in Graphic Design and Video Production. I moved into e-Learning about five years ago, teaching introductory graphic design courses online through Yoobee School of Design.

I like Hot dogs and Pizza, making things and sleeping in. One day I hope to win The Funky Pumpkin, Funky Club, weekly lucky draw. I wish I was better at Tetris.

Media Production Assistant – Peter Thomson

Peter started with us on 2nd of October, based in the Resource Centre. Peter works 2 days a week, Tuesdays and Wednesdays, supporting the production of resources ready for distribution. It’s great to have you join the team Peter!

My position as a Media Assistant has me working alongside Jody McBride to create and collate our educational products. I am also working on extra projects to help improve the workflow of the Media Centre. I have spent 18 years living in California, and now I have returned to New Zealand to spend time with my extended family. I have a passion for medieval history, and have for many years played the role of a French Knight in a historical re-enactment organization.
