Farewell from Lizzy

Tracey Cassells - Resource Teacher of the Deaf —

Lizzy Clark is finishing school this year and heading to WelTec to study hospitality. Lizzy grew up in the Wairarapa and has been in Deaf Education since she was a preschooler!

Lizzy's favourite memories are of going to Keep In Touch (KIT) Days. Lizzy went to every KIT Day she could, even though they were a long drive from the Wairarapa. The long journey was a great opportunity to have lots of fun and laughter with her travel companions. She became a great role model, helping younger children and immersing herself totally in all the activities on offer.

Lizzy loved having a chance to practise her sign language and made long-time friendships with other deaf students and Resource Teachers of the Deaf, who all enjoyed their conversations with Lizzy. She hopes to keep in touch with many of her friends and would love to come back and help with KIT Days in the future.
