Thomas has expressed some of the many challenges he has experienced throughout 2021.

Hello, everyone
It's my pleasure to introduce myself, I am Thomas, this year has been a roller coaster ride with a lot of things happening such as I broke my thumb, had surgery, Henry passing, and lockdown.

Before school started I went on camp with the other leadership. On this camp, I learnt about Leadership Skills. We went to Hamner Springs for 4 days. I learnt a lot and have developed my skills with other classes at Hagley.

So far, I've enjoyed going to Ara doing the Cookery Level 3 course. This is dual enrollment.

At the beginning of the year, I went to Auckland to join the Spirit of Adventure voyage for 5 days on a ship. We were learning how to put up the different kinds of sails. Our 'housework' was to tidy up the ropes. It was a useful year for me, with many accomplishments and learning from my mistakes.
