Celebrating Matariki, our students got the opportunity to learn and understand the importance of Matariki, and its meaning.

At the end of June, we celebrated Matariki in Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch, with our preschool in Auckland joining the event too! It was a wonderful afternoon & evening, with the students in each city doing activities and learning about what Matariki means. Whānau could also join, which aligns with the meaning of Matariki. The event concluded with a national Zoom, linking all three cities together. 

As we intend to make this an annual event on the Ko Taku Reo calendar, we would welcome feedback from our community to ensure Matariki's ongoing success and accessibility.
