Thriving in the Early Invention Centre

Early Invention Centre - Christchurch —

Spring has sprung in Sumner.

We love to explore, plant, water and watch our labours come to life here in the EIC, Sumner.

Our tamariki have been busy finding homes for seedlings, bugs, birds and strawberries.

We have discovered a bird’s nest outside the office window where we can check in on the feathered family and watch them enjoy our homemade pinecone bird feeders.

We created a bug house to encouraged new friends to visit and nestled this alongside the Willow tunnel. Nearby we have planted some New World Little Gardens seedlings, sunflower seeds, strawberry plants and two swan plants. The caterpillars are growing fast and we can’t wait to see them become butterflies.
