Rebekah Besley —

Term four is such a busy, yet exciting term. Studying for NCEA exams, sitting NCEA exams, completing portfolios, merit assemblies and preparing to say goodbye to friends.

It was fantastic to see the completion of Tanisha and Linh Da’s level one NCEA art portfolios. You can see a clear progression and development of their skill set.

Term four also saw the completion of Liberty’s level two NCEA Photography portfolio. A beautiful reflection of her Deaf culture shines through this portfolio.

This term, Theo and Josiah have visited the Hillmorton provision for transition visits. They have enjoyed joining students in their mainstream classes for a taste of high school life.

We were extremely proud that some of our students received merit awards at the Hillmorton High School merit assembly. A wonderful acknowledgement of all their hard work within the school community and mainstream subjects.

In term four, some of our senior students sit external NCEA exams. Students and staff alike, work extremely hard to prepare the students for their external exams. We can now take a deep breath and wait for the results in the new year.

We wish everyone a wonderful summer break and look forward to all the exciting opportunities for our students in 2021.
