Celebrating Bay of Plenty (BOP) East Learners

Bay of Plenty East Team —

Showing diversity amongst our Learners

Once again BOP East enjoyed the wonderful KIT day at Lake Rotoma, using the Standup Paddleboards and kayaks. Many thanks to Brigitte Hoskins for organizing the day and to Sophie, her EOTC trained teacher daughter, for giving up a day to be our expert on hand.

All our students have embraced their mainstream schooling opportunities and have taken responsibility for their own learning. They have participated in school speech competitions, art competitions, sport, school productions, and camps. Reluctant learners have become engaged learners. Some senior students have already passed NCEA L1 and L2 prior to their exams.

Other highlights are Riki learning the guitar, Jordan and Prabvir getting places in the digital learning class at Tauranga Intermediate, and Cleo and Ryder being trillions of times happier in their school environment.
