Rawiri (age 8 from Hawkes bay), had a competition at his school to design a cover for their 'kapa haka' rakau!

In term 4, Rawiri's school needed to make their boring magazine rakau way more exciting! The teachers decided to have a competition to design a cover for the rakau. The children all worked really hard, but, Rawiri's design was chosen as the winner!

He was so excited to find out that his design would be covering all of the rakau to use in his kapa haka group when they sing "E Papa Waiari"!
