Chocolate Hail Sandwiches
Three Year 4 students learning how to make their own Dutch chocolate sandwich, with the focus on sharing their ideas about taste and about halves and quarters.
Starlette, Rhyleigh and Armaani were creating Dutch chocolate hail (sprinkles) sandwiches. We had to spread the butter on our piece of bread, then we could sprinkle the Dutch chocolate hail and the vlokken (grated chocolate) on our slice of bread. Next, we cut our slice in half and half again then we could eat it up. Starlette said, ‘I like the hail the best’. Armaani said, ‘we ate it and it was yum’. Rhyleigh said, ‘the chocolate was so yummy and it was with bread, butter and chocolate’.
