Happy Holidays from our Enrolled School Leadership Team!
As 2022 draws to a close, we're excited to have a strong leadership team in place for our Enrolled School.
Our team members are:

- Daniel Greenwood - Deputy Head of Enrolled School
- Kaori Kobayashi - Assistant Head of Enrolled School, West Auckland
- Theresa McCreight - Assistant Head of Enrolled School, South Auckland
- Karen Pasco - Assistant Head of Enrolled School, Christchurch/Wellington
- Heidi Erbs - Senior Administrator
Theresa and Heidi joined us in Term 4.
We meet weekly to plan events within the school which support and implement the New Zealand curriculum and to refresh assessment across our primary and secondary provisions.
This year we've been supporting our Enrolled School teachers with the new NCEA changes and Aotearoa New Zealand's histories curriculum. We are committed to ensuring that all students learn and understand our history and how it has shaped our nation. We are also looking forward to implementing our own local curriculum of Deaf Studies and Deaf History in 2023. We delivered professional learning and development throughout the year to help teachers provide engaging and rich learning experiences for all Deaf students.
Our Assistant Heads of Enrolled School regularly visit the provisions in their regions to support students, staff and classroom teaching. At times this involves working directly with students to help them achieve their goals, as well as working with teachers to organise events that bring students and whānau together and help everyone make the most of their time at Ko Taku Reo.
In 2022 our national events included a Meet the Teachers night, Matariki Whānau Event, Arts Showcase, and of course our end of year Prizegivings for both Juniors and Seniors. We also had a School Hui every term. These events are a fantastic way for us to come together as a school - thank you to everyone who helped make them a success!
