Millie is very passionate about NZSL and would like it to be an optional subject if not a compulsory subject in all schools. Here is her speech.

MIllie Read is a Year 10 student and had to write a persuasive piece of writing for her English class during Lockdown. Then the prescribed writing had to be used for a 5-minute speech to be presented in class. Millie’s class and teachers have been very impressed with her speech that she has now performed it to over 11 different people or classes at her school. She even went to share it with the school principal. It is amazing to see the growth and confidence and passion in Millie’s presentation.
