Ryan Flying the Nest
After six years with us, Ryan is ready to start the next stage in his life and learning.
Ryan arrived at Van Asch Deaf Education Centre in 2017 from Invercargill. During his time with us he has grown into a mature young man and we are proud to farewell him from Ko Taku Reo with NCEA Levels 1-3.
He's enjoyed life at both the Hillmorton and Hagley Provisions and the Residence and has been involved in many of the opportunities available. He has fond memories of camps and sporting events, as well as the life-long friends he has made.
Ryan has always had a passion for hard materials technology and we are especially proud of the Certificate in Joinery that he achieved through Ara Institute this year. He worked hard to achieve this and produced some beautiful pieces of furniture. Ryan's passion for scooters also brings him much joy!
Ryan hopes to work in the building industry and one day start his own business with scooters. We'll be eagerly watching Ryan's achievements and are confident he has an exciting future.
We wish you all the best Ryan!
